At
the end of the first day of the first test match Sri Lanka was struggling with
only 135 on the board and visitors are well set for a huge win with 127 on the
board with only two wickets gone. Sri Lankan permeant test captain
Dimuth Karunarathne got injured with a fractured thumb prior to the test match continuing
their misery in South Africa.
Unfortunately
the highest score for the first innings is 28 runs scored by the second most
experienced player in the team Dinesh Chandimal while Kusal Mendis makes
another duck in the inning.
Shot
selection was so bad similar to what we saw from Sri Lankan national side in
South Africa. Only question for the team will be can they bounce back from
where there are now? Yes they can do that we have seen their abilities and how
they have wrestled back from these kind of dark situations.
